Often, wisdom teeth have to be removed because the jaw is crowded. This helps avoid complications further down the line. Surgical removal of wisdom teeth is a routine procedure that we perform frequently, and usually with no problems whatsoever, on patients between the ages of 18 to 25. In our practice, we perform extractions ourselves when providing orthodontic treatment in situations where the mouth is crowded or where there is a need to surgically expose teeth that do not erupt spontaneously.

We use two lasers (a Wiser diode laser and a Spectra Denta 2 CO2 laser) for different procedures in our practice. Using lasers helps wounds to heal quickly, and germs and bleeding aren’t an issue either.

• Gentle removal of labial frenula

• Treatment of cold sores (herpes) and mouth ulcers

• Treatment of gum disease (gingivitis) and peri-implantitis

• Exposure of implants

• Removal of gingival growths (Gingivectomies)

• Surgical exposure of impacted teeth

Dental implants are artificial dental roots made of titanium that act as a base for attaching a crown or bridge (dental prosthesis) where the patient has a gap between their teeth.
Dental implants are also used in prosthetics to anchor dentures in an edentulous jaw.
In most cases, bone augmentation can be performed at the same time as implantation if there is insufficient bone available.
We can take a 3D X-ray (DVT) to plan implants in complex cases.

We are implantology specialists and only use Straumann implants.
